Magic Wand Bird's Eye Maple

Handcarved from recycled hardwood. The wood was salvaged right out of the garbage truck as it was crushing a desk. The desk was from the old Cornwallis Base. The wood is Bird's Eye Maple. Rasps were used to round the edges, gouges and scrapers were also used. The piece is hand sanded and finished with hemp oil. It is initialed and dated by the artist, Acadian Woodcarver Jamie Thibault. This piece was a custom order. Took over 30 hours to create, from design to finish.
