Spellcaster Red Oak Wizard - The Spellcaster - 12 7/8 high, 7 3/4 wide, 2" thick. Took over 150 hours to create. Finished with hemp oil. This piece is signed and dated by the artist. This piece of wood was rescued from the scrap pile. Some boards had been left in a pile to rot. This is what I found hiding in the wood of one of those boards. Tagua Skull Carved from a Tagua Nut also known as Corozo or Vegetable Ivory, the seed of the Ivory Palm found in South America. For many decades Tagua has been used as a substitute for elephant ivory. This piece is very detailed despite its small size. 1 1/4 wide, 1/2 thick, 11/4 high. Took over 30 hours to create.
